A bit about myself: inspirations, training and more....
Since 1983 I have devoted myself to making art. Initially I worked
mainly in oil paint and cut paper collage. Later however I switched
to painting exclusively in watercolor as I'm interested in the subtle
nuances that this media can have as color builds up in a piece with
more opaque areas juxtaposing with transparent passages.
My subject matter is often based on the memories of gardens, streets,
towns, and cities that I've visited while traveling and from daily
life.
I earned a Dean's List Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from The School
of The Art Institute of Chicago and a Master of Fine Arts degree
in graphic design from Boston University.
I am a member of the Graphic
Artists Guild. Past illustration clients have been in the fields
of: architecture, graphic design, higher education, and publishing.
Additionally, I have exhibited at art events and galleries in the
Northeast and my work is in many private collections.
